Job Purpose:
Seeking to employ a full time Registered Social Worker for the role of Registered Social Worker to support our homes for children. This individual must use a child-focused approach and must promote the child’s best interest at all times. This individual would ensure the mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the children are being met. This individual would ensure that care is being provided within a professional, positive, and home environment which positively integrates race, culture, beliefs, gender, ability, and sexual orientation and meets each individual’s specific needs. As an active member of the Supervisory team to review intakes and referrals, assist with supervision of youth and staff, and to ensure the home and program is in compliance with licensing requirements. This individual would actively be involved in case management including: admissions, discharges, Plans of Care, court appearances, case conferences, school meetings, safety planning, crisis response, perceptions of care, etc. This individual would meet with youth individually on a regular basis to assess and address their specific needs.
Education and Training:
- Completion of Bachelor of Social Work degree
- Currently registered and in good standing as a Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
- Familiar with the following is an asset:
- Mental Health and Addictions
- Child Welfare Systems
- Youth Criminal Justice Act
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a relevant, related field
Knowledge/Skills/Ability:
- Highly developed areas of therapeutic intervention with individuals and groups
- Strong advocacy lens
- Demonstrated knowledge of:

- Case Management
