Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent food service and ensuring customers enjoy fresh, delicious sandwiches. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy hours
- Handle cashier duties, including processing payments accurately and upselling menu items when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and serving areas, adhering to sanitation protocols
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers courteously and efficiently
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Cashiering experience and cash handling accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Basic math skills for accurate order totaling and change calculation
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
