About Hillfield Strathallan College
Founded in 1901, Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC) offers a seamless academic journey from 18 months to 18 years. Located on a 50-acre campus on Hamilton's West Mountain, HSC provides a unique educational pathway for students through four school offerings: Junior, Montessori, Middle and Senior. We are currently recruiting for 2 Classroom Assistants in our Junior School for the upcoming 2026/2027 School year.
Position Overview:
Join our team of passionate educators dedicated to providing exceptional care and education to young children. In this position, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver programs that enhance children’s cognitive, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional development.
Qualifications:
- A diploma in Educational Support, Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Child and Youth Care, or Early Childhood Education
- Experience in a childcare or educational setting;
- Experience with persons with physical, intellectual, behavioural, and/or other learning differences
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff and the general public;
- Strong organizational and management skills;
- Demonstrate knowledge of classroom management;
- Understanding and commitment to confidentiality
- Current certificate in Standard First Aid and CPR;
