Our client, a growing civil contractor in the Lower Mainland, BC, specializes in Civil Infrastructure, Site Services, Utilities, Excavation, and Shoring projects. They are seeking a Civil Foreman to oversee field operations on a variety of public and private infrastructure projects ranging from $1M–$5M and contribute to the continued success of their expanding team.
- Lead daily field operations on civil construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to maintain productivity and meet project schedules.
- Oversee underground utility installations, excavation, shoring, site servicing, and general civil construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and company quality standards.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to support project execution and resolve field issues.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, track project progress, and assist with scheduling and manpower planning.
- Promote and uphold Health, Safety & Environmental standards on all job sites.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to field crews while fostering a positive team environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Foreman in heavy civil construction.
- Strong experience with underground utilities, excavation, site servicing, and civil infrastructure projects.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Experience coordinating crews and managing subcontractors on active construction sites.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites across the Lower Mainland as required.
