As the Dietitian, reporting to the General Manager, you provide consistent, reliable, evidence based nutrition assessment and consultation. Through advocating, developing, implementing, and evaluating nutrition and health programs you promote supportive environments for healthy eating and active living.
As the ideal candidate you:
As the successful candidate, you are aligned with our values, you work well with an interdisciplinary team and have exceptional communication skills. You adhere to the professional Code of Ethics and CDBC’s Standards of Practice, respecting Resident Rights and the confidentiality of health information according to guidelines and actively participate in regular continuing education. In addition, your skills and education align with key performance indicators for the role including but not limited to:
- Nutritional assessments and relevant documentation completed and communicated on a timely basis;
- Referrals addressed within 1 week of referral date, including management of weight changes; and
- Resident Satisfaction of menu monitored through Food Audits and surveys with plans to address complaints and concerns as needed.
Candidate Education and Skills
- Full member in good standing of the College of Dietitians in British Columbia and with Reserved Act A;
- Maintain professional liability insurance (if contractor relationship);
- Recent related experience in a long-term care setting;
- Intermediate level computer competencies (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel);
- Familiar with Point Click Care software an asset
- Current valid BC Driver’s License.
