Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook /Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service experiences. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment where attention to food safety and quality is paramount. The Line Cook /Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring timely service, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
- Food preparation, including chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold high standards
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers
- Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy periods or special events
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is desirable.
- Will train the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting preferred but not required for motivated learners
- Strong understanding of the importance of serving quality dishes with attention to detail in presentation
