Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting the hospitality or food service industry.
Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure proper sanitation protocols are followed
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and cleaning work areas
- Support the kitchen staff by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly during busy service times
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Restock supplies in dishwashing areas to ensure continuous workflow
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and accidents in the kitchen
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and food handling standards is advantageous
- Experience with food preparation or cooking can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Previous hospitality or food service experience helps in understanding the importance of cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
