Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician 3rd to 4th year apprentice to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and mechanical systems, with experience working in dealership environments preferred. Responsibilities
- Perform stand alone diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models under instructions.
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components accurately
- Weld and perform heavy lifting as needed during repair procedures
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure precise repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Assist with vehicle inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or mechanic experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics software is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record preferred
