Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various concrete construction tasks, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role is essential in supporting our projects from start to finish, contributing to the successful completion of concrete structures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and clean job sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications.
- Assist in setting forms for concrete placement, ensuring they are level and secure.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing concrete.
- Perform finishing techniques such as smoothing, leveling, and texturing surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with the maintenance of equipment and tools used on-site.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in concrete work or general construction is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Knowledge of basic construction safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to concrete work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license is a plus but not mandatory.
