Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Night Line Cook to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The position offers flexible evening hours and an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic food service setting.
Must be available Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
Typical start time is between 5:00 and 6:30 pm
Typical end time can be anywhere between 9:00 pm and 1:00 am
Having your own transportation is an asset
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients
- Support meal preparation during busy service periods to meet customer demands
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during night shifts
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food service workflows
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory for motivated candidates
