Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Bartender to lead our bar team and deliver exceptional customer service in a lively hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of beverage preparation, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. This role involves overseeing daily bar operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety and alcohol regulations. The Head Bartender will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the highest standards of service and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the bartending team to ensure efficient and professional service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair.
- Manage POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, alcohol service regulations, and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Train new staff members on beverage recipes, POS operation, customer service techniques, and safety procedures.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes.
- Assist in creating a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business and positive guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food industry role; prior restaurant experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and cocktail recipes.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or equivalent software.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate billing.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and manage shifts effectively.
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service environments is highly desirable.
