We are currently seeking a talented and compassionate Child and Youth Psychotherapist to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child and Youth Psychotherapists to join our team as independent contractors. As a Child and Youth Psychotherapist at Pace Child and Family Wellness Centre, you will play a vital role in providing individualized therapy services to children and adolescents with autism and related disorders. You will work closely with a supportive team of professionals to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for children and youth, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Assess and diagnose mental health disorders in children and adolescents.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensed and registered as a Child and Youth Psychotherapist.
- Must be a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents, with a focus on paediatric mental health.
- Strong understanding of developmental psychology and the unique needs of young clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in child and youth psychotherapy.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by children and youth in a clinical setting.
- Farsi Speaking is an asset.
