Job Responsibilities
As our Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining our premium standards and ensuring strict compliance with food safety regulations. Your core duties will include:
- Audit & Compliance Support: Work with and assist BRCGS and CFIA Inspectors and third-party food safety auditors. Establish and follow written regulatory procedures.
- Program Maintenance: Oversee the ongoing maintenance of food safety programs within the facility.
- Floor Supervision: Maintain high visibility on the manufacturing floor to ensure production and warehouse staff comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Inspections & Quality Control: Perform routine inspections on GMPs, compliance to product specifications, non-conforming material, and standard work. Ensure all in-process and finished goods meet our premium standards.
- Corrective Actions: Track and support resulting corrective actions from inspections and audits.
- R&D Support: Support plant trials and research and development through sample collection, testing, monitoring, and documenting results.
- Administrative: Maintain records in a neat and orderly fashion.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Post-secondary education in science or a related field is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of BRCGS and HACCP programs and procedures is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows/MS Office; ability to research and effectively obtain pertinent information from the internet.
- Communication: Good written and oral communication skills, including experience with report writing.

- Must be a great communicator both orally and written.
- Strong attention to detail with a thorough approach to creating and reviewing documentation.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment, backed by strong organizational skills.
