Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and dependable Sewer and Water Pipe Layer and Labourers to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining sewer and water pipelines, requiring a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and various hand and power tools. Prior experience with excavation, trenching, and utility installation is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Lay and install sewer and water pipelines according to project specifications
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, rigging gear
- Use hand tools, power tools
- Assist with trenching, excavation, backfilling, and compaction activities
- Perform rigging tasks safely when handling large pipes or equipment
- Conduct maintenance checks on equipment such as excavators and other machinery
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment during all phases of construction
- Assist crew members with general labor tasks related to pipeline installation projects
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes or similar equipment is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems, sewer and water installation is considered an asset
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging techniques, and safety procedures in construction environments
- Experience working on utility installation projects involving sewer or water lines is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is beneficial but not required
- Strong physical stamina to perform demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
