Role:
The Sales Director leads PREP's commercial effort and personally carries it. This is a selling leader, not a desk manager. You will own the sales plan and the forecast, coordinate the activity of the sales team, and stay on the road, on the phone, and in front of customers closing business. You bring real contract negotiation strength and a clear read on legal and commercial risk that protects the company on every deal. The mandate is growth: hold and expand the current base, open new industries, build the pipeline, and develop the team that carries PREP forward.
Main Responsibilities:
- Personally develop and close opportunities, leading the largest and most complex deals and owning the senior customer relationships.
- Lead contract negotiation, setting pricing and commercial terms with a clear view of the legal and financial risk to the company.
- Stay field facing. This role runs on the road and on the phone, not from behind a desk.
- Coordinate the activities of the sales representatives and the wider commercial effort.
- Run the sales cadence: regular sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and account planning.
- Set targets, coach the team, and hold people to the numbers.
- Build and execute the sales plan and forecast, short and long term.
- Define and report on sales KPIs, keeping leadership current with a clear picture of pipeline and risk.
- Build the tracking, account targeting, and reporting the function needs.
- Drive business development into new customers and industries, from first contact through close.
- Set PREP's market positioning and sales messaging with leadership, so the story we take to customers matches where we want to compete.
- Direct marketing campaigns and collateral. Own the direction and the brief, and work with internal and corporate resources on production
- Own PREP's presence in the market: plan and lead trade shows and industry events, and steer the customer facing content that opens doors and supports live deals.
- Keep a read on competitors and market direction and feed it into both the sales plan and the marketing message.
Requirements:
- Experienced senior salesperson in an OEM or engineered products environment, with a track record of closing B2B deals.
- Strong contract negotiation skills and sound commercial judgment, with real attention to legal and financial risk.
- Proven leadership of a sales team or function.
- Comfortable with value add and consultative selling of technical products.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, credible with customers up to senior executive level.
- Local to PREP in Surrey BC. Able to travel, including internationally. Valid passport and driver license.
- Post secondary diploma or degree preferred, ideally in engineering, manufacturing technology, business, or marketing. The right experience and drive outweigh the credential.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $115,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
