SUMMARY
Grow the Energy Circle (GrowTec) majority owned by Evergen Infrastructure, is looking to hire a Operations and Maintenance - Plant Operator to support daily biogas plant operations as we grow our team looking ahead to build capacity for the future
JOB DUTIES
- Develop a working knowledge of Anaerobic Digestion to assist operations with identifying and implementing improvement opportunities
- regulatory sampling and reporting
- Conduct daily walkarounds to ensure regular operation of the site
- Collect and input operational data including biogas quality, daily Renewable Natural Gas production, daily inbound feedstock quantities, digester pH and FOS/TAC, and other critical data
- Inventory management and maintenance programs.
- Actively participate in the site safety program by attending safety meetings, identifying safety concerns, and helping build a strong culture of safety on the work site
- Assist with the maintenance and development of safety, environmental and standard operating procedures
- Maintaining site cleanliness and organization
- Responding to alarm calls
- Completing mechanical maintenance of equipment, including pump rebuilds, oil changes, basic piping and valves
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in trades, agriculture and/or equipment operation is considered an asset
- Strong leadership, motivation and enthusiasm for the sustainable circular economy, resource recovery and responsible management of wastes
- Detail-orientated, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to balance the requirements and completion of multiple tasks at the same time
- A willingness to work both inside and outside with periods of exposure to all weather conditions
- Possess excellent organizational, time management skills, foresight, accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to objectives and responsibilities
- Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to make good decisions that will meet or exceed operational targets
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude, along with a commitment to staff privacy
- Previous operations or project experience would be considered an asset
- Familiarity with CCMS software
- Pipefitter/ millwright would be considered an asset

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
