I am looking for a few individuals to build and construct swamp mats. That means lifting and moving lumber , drilling holes and securing bolts.
Use of various hand tools like drills, measuring tapes and impacts will be used. Attention to detail and the willingness to learn and excel. If you’re not afraid of hard work and lots of hours. This job is for you.
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Labourer to join our Team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting various construction, maintenance, and installation projects. This position offers an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the successful completion of swamp mat building. The Labourer will work closely with skilled tradespeople and supervisors to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met on every task.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment on-site
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing, and setting up necessary supplies
- Support skilled tradespeople by performing basic tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely under supervision
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents
- Assist with site cleanup and waste removal at the end of each workday
- Support in the installation, repair, or maintenance activities as directed by supervisors
- Adhere to project timelines and communicate any issues or delays promptly
Skills
- Proven ability to perform physical labor efficiently and safely
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
