Position Purpose
Responsible for monitoring and supervising facility swim times, facility swim tests, emergency rescues and first aid as required, completion of accident/incident reports, and promoting a friendly environment through public education and rule enforcement. Minimum Qualifications
- 16 years of age minimum.
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR "C".
- Current AED certification.
- Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certificate.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), deemed as satisfactory by the Town.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Community Services
Division: Parks Development and Operations
Reports To: Parks Supervisor ¿ ROC
Responsible for monitoring and supervising facility swim times, facility swim tests, emergency rescues and first aid as required, completion of accident/incident reports, and promoting a friendly environment through public education and rule enforcement.
- Be aware of and comply with all admission policies, regulations and legislations pertaining to the operations of an aquatic facility.
- Supervises pool and deck areas at all times to standard set by the Ministry of Health, Lifesaving Society and the Town of Georgina.
- Enforces rules through public education.
- Performs or assists with emergency rescues or first aid as necessary.
- Fills out accident/ incident reports as required.
- Attends and participates in all staff training sessions.
- Keeps up to date by checking staff bulletin boards and logbooks to be informed of new information and procedures.
- Fully dressed in staff uniform during all assigned hours.
- Prepared to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends.
- Suggest ways in which to improve aquatic programs.
- Reports any facility safety hazards to supervisor on duty or full-time staff.
- Assists with general pool and area upkeep and cleaning as required.
- Promotes positive public relations at all times, enforcing pool rules firmly and tactfully.
- Performs other related duties as assigned that are in accordance with job responsibilities or necessary departmental or corporate objectives.
- Qualifications kept current.
- Ensures all standards of Lifesaving Society, National Lifeguard Service and Standard First Aid are being followed.
