Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial painting projects, with a strong understanding of construction and restoration processes. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. The Painter will work closely with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and power tools
- Perform restoration work on existing structures, ensuring seamless blending with original surfaces
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members to understand project specifications and address any issues promptly
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Drywall install, tape and mudding
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting and commercial painting
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment safely and effectively
- Strong drywall skills are a plus for install, taping and mudding or surface preparation tasks
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members
- Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently
- Experience with caulking and surface preparation techniques necessary for quality finishes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Prior experience in restoration projects is desirable but not required
