Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Sushi Chef / Sushi Bar Helper to join our culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and adherence to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in the daily setup of the sushi bar, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready for service
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks, including cutting fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi bar area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive food service
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene practices during meal preparation and service
- Support the team during busy hours by managing multiple tasks such as restocking supplies and assisting with meal assembly
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred
- Familiarity with sushi preparation, serving techniques, or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper hygiene practices is essential
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent teamwork skills is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Pay: $15.00-$22.00 per hour
