- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Install conduit (EMT, PVC, rigid), cable tray, and various wiring methods.
- Pull and terminate power, control, and communication wiring.
- Install and commission electrical equipment including:
- Panels and distribution equipment
- Transformers
- Lighting systems
- Motor controls
- Disconnects
- Receptacles and devices
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify faults efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance and service work.
- Complete quality inspections and testing prior to energization.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
- Follow all company safety policies and OHSA requirements.
- Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and other trades.
- Mentor apprentices when required.
QualificationsRequired
- Valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Certificate of Qualification
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Working at Heights
- WHMIS
- Elevated Work Platform / Boom Lift certification
- First Aid & CPR
- Experience with PLCs, automation, and industrial controls
- Experience operating lifts and material handling equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day
