We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glazier to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in glass installation and related building trades. The Apprentice Glazier will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to develop skills in glazing, framing, and general construction practices. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, replacement, and repair of glass in windows, doors, and facades.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and caulking guns to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, and fitting glass panels according to specifications.
- Support the team with framing, carpentry, and other related construction tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols at all times during job execution.
- Assist with restoration projects, including window restoration and building façade repairs
Skills
- Familiarity with hand tools used in construction and glazing work.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics.
- Construction experience or background in carpentry is a plus.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing glass installations.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions from schematics or blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Willingness to learn new skills across various trades such as restoration, plumbing, welding, flooring, or tile laying.
