Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate chiropodist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive foot and ankle care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various podiatric conditions. This role offers an opportunity to work in diverse settings such outpatient clinic delivering high-quality patient care with a focus on pain management and improving mobility. The chiropodist will utilize advanced medical technology and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and ankles to diagnose conditions accurately.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication administration, wound care, and surgical interventions when necessary.
- Manage acute care cases, providing immediate treatment for injuries or infections.
- Perform minor surgical procedures and oversee post-operative care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals using electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner to ensure seamless patient data collection and documentation.
- Educate patients on foot health, injury prevention, and proper footwear.
- Assist in research initiatives aimed at advancing podiatric medicine practices.
- Participate in patient care activities across various settings including hospital wards, outpatient clinics, pediatrics units, and home care visits.
- Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and healthcare regulations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Skills
- Strong knowledge about assessment and delivering custom made shoes, foot- orthotics and custom bracing.
- Proven experience in hospital settings with a strong background in acute care and pain management.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.
- Experience in research or data collection to support evidence-based practice improvements.
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of home care practices for patients requiring ongoing foot health management.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients.
This position is integral to providing exceptional podiatric services across multiple healthcare settings, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of foot and ankle care tailored to their individual needs.
This Position is for the practitioner once in a month.
Pay: $65.00-$100.00 per hour
