We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accurate patient care, and maintaining pharmacy operations. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and labeling prescriptions accurately
- Manage inventory levels and restock medications as needed
- Enter prescription data into pharmacy systems with precision
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper storage and handling of medications
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, documentation, and filing
Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred; hospital experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to patient care and confidentiality
- Certification or licensure as required by state regulations is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level candidates
