Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various construction projects, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the successful completion of projects. The position requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and a team-oriented attitude.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Carry out general labor tasks such as digging, trenching, and site clearing
- Support skilled tradespeople by holding tools, mixing materials, and performing basic tasks as directed
- Operate hand tools and small machinery safely under supervision
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures
- Help with material delivery and storage on-site
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but not necessary; training will be provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
