Are you seeking a flexible and rewarding career in security? Wincon Security is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Overnight Casual/Floater Security Guards across Markham and the Greater Toronto Area.
This role requires overnight availability on weekdays and weekends and provides the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of sites, including but not limited to commercial, retail, industrial, and condominium properties.

As a Casual/Floater Security Guard at Wincon, you will:
- Maintain a visible presence for the public as they enter the premises.
- Engage in continuous walking and patrolling of sites to mitigate threats.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and a good command of the English language.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, customers, contractors, and visitors of the client's property.
- Conduct routine property patrols and respond to fire alarms.
- Detect, challenge, and manage unwanted individuals.
- Promote safety and adhere to client-site emergency procedures.
- Act as an on-site first aid responder until expert medical help arrives.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A valid Ontario Security Guard License in good standing
- Valid First Aid and Level "C" CPR certification from a WSIB-approved provider
- Physical fitness to walk, run, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs.
- Proven customer service experience of 1 year or more is preferred
- Must be available for at least 8 shifts per month
- A friendly personality and a passion for professional interactions with people
- The ability to handle multiple situations effectively while providing quality service.
- Additional industry-recognized certifications or experience are assets.

In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, Wincon Security recognizes that certain job requirements may constitute Bona Fide Occupational Requirements (BFORs). These requirements are established in good faith and are reasonably necessary for the safe and effective performance of the role.
Candidates must be able to meet the essential physical and cognitive demands of the Security Guard position, which may include:
- Maintaining alertness and vigilance throughout assigned shifts, including evenings, overnight, and extended hours
- Conducting interior and exterior patrols, which may involve prolonged standing, walking, stair use, and exposure to varying environmental conditions
- Responding appropriately to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations, which may require mobility and physical responsiveness
- Completing accurate written and electronic reports
- Communicating effectively and interacting professionally with clients, residents, and the public
- Following site-specific procedures and client-directed protocols, including access control and escalation processes
These requirements are reasonably necessary to meet operational and safety obligations, including those under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
