Duties
- Build trusting relationships with children and youth through active engagement and positive communication
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs, including those with disabilities
- Facilitate educational activities, teaching life skills, social skills, and emotional regulation strategies
- Monitor behavior and provide consistent guidance to promote safety and well-being
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, recreational activities, and personal hygiene
- Collaborate with team members, families, and external agencies to support each child's development goals
- Document observations, progress notes, and incident reports accurately and promptly
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a care or educational setting
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Strong teaching abilities to foster learning and personal growth
