The Role
You'll provide full-cycle accounting support for real estate development and construction projects, with a focus on project funding draws and financial reporting.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain chart of accounts; prepare monthly trial balances, journal entries, accruals, and daily bank reconciliations
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoice and payment processing
- Prepare and submit draw packages, track budgets versus actuals, coordinate supporting documentation, and communicate draw status to owners, lenders, and internal stakeholders
- Process payroll, CRA remittances, and HST reconciliations and filings
- Maintain complete project accounting records and working papers for year-end close and external accountants
- Support preparation of project pro formas, financial statements, audit files, and compliance reporting for lenders, government, and partners
- Track subcontractor compliance (insurance, holdbacks, WSIB, lien waivers, pay applications)
- Complete ad hoc accounting projects and financial analysis as needed
Your Qualifications and Credentials
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA in progress or completed is a strong asset
· Strong expertise in journal entries, account reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting (capitalization and depreciation)
· Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis
· Experience with accounting software and tools
· Strong sense of ownership and accountability
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Real estate or private equity experience is a plus

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
