Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Evening Cleaner to join our team in Downtown. This is a part-time position (15 hours per week), Monday through Friday, with a flexible 3-hour schedule available any time between 5:00 and 10:00 PM. All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain classrooms, office areas, and the staff kitchen to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Sweep, vacuum, dust, and mop floors according to the cleaning schedule.
- Wipe whiteboards, desks, tables, and other frequently used surfaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and replace liners as needed.
- Clean and sanitize the staff kitchen, including countertops, sink, and microwave.
- Dust classroom furniture, including under desks and chairs, according to the cleaning schedule.
- Clean interior classroom glass/windows on a scheduled basis.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Properly use and care for all cleaning equipment and supplies provided by the school.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks after school hours while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous cleaning experience in a school, office, commercial building, or similar environment is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe cleaning practices is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Physically able to perform routine cleaning tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and mopping.
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 3 hours per day, anytime after 5:00 PM.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
