About the role
As a full-time Warehouse Shipper at Berryhill Foods Inc., you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and shipment of food products from our Abbotsford facility. You’ll work closely with our warehouse and logistics team to ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched according to schedule, quality standards, and food safety requirements. This role requires working in freezer and cold storage environments as part of daily duties. Shifts run from 11:00 AM to close, approximately 8–10 hours.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse teams to identify which products are being shipped each day
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment accurately and on time using RF scanners
- Load and unload trucks; verify shipments against packing slips and BOLs
- Operate a forklift to move and stage product (forklift certification required)
- Print and complete shipping paperwork in Sage X3 to accurately track outgoing product
- Work in freezer and cold storage areas to move product in and out of the facility
- Comply with all food safety, GMP, and health & safety regulations
- Keep the shipping dock and work area organized and clean
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams regarding shipment status and discrepancies
- Take initiative to support the team and find productive tasks during slower periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse shipping or receiving role preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including stacking aids and pallets, and stand for extended periods
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Forklift experience required
- Familiarity with RF scanners, inventory systems, or shipping software is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Experience in a food manufacturing or food distribution environment is an asset
- Comfortable working in freezer and cold storage environments
