Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, providing a valuable pathway to develop your skills and advance your career in the automotive industry. The role involves working closely with experienced technicians to learn and perform essential vehicle repairs and diagnostics in a professional environment.
Duties
- Assist with routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Support diagnostic procedures using schematics and automotive repair manuals
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and assembly tasks
- Help with engine repairs, brake replacements, and suspension work under supervision
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of maintenance equipment
- Read and interpret schematics for various automotive systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repair needs and progress
Requirement
- Basic mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and assembly processes is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills for customer interactions and teamwork
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of schematics for diagnostics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
