Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker

Gastech HVAC Systems Ltd. is a full-service mechanical contractor delivering new construction, retrofit, and service/maintenance solutions across the GTA. We’re looking for a licensed Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker to join our growing team, focused on field installation of ductwork, fittings, and HVAC equipment on ICI and residential construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Install ductwork, fittings, and accessories (dampers, grilles, diffusers) per mechanical drawings and specifications
Install HVAC equipment including fan coils, air handlers, and fans
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Ensure all installations meet SMACNA standards and applicable building/mechanical codes
Mentor apprentices on-site as needed
Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OHSA and company policies
Qualifications:
Certificate of Qualification (306A) - Sheet Metal Worker, licensed in Ontario
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial/ICI field installation
Experience installing ductwork and HVAC equipment (fan coils, air handlers, fans)
Ability to read mechanical and architectural drawings
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
working at heights certificate, aerial lift certificate, 4 steps, whimis.
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Welding experience considered an asset
