DC Recycling is looking for a hardworking and reliable Team Member to join our recycling operations team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position involving sorting, lifting, loading/unloading, and preparing recyclable materials for shipment.
Job Duties
- Sort cardboard, paper, plastics, and scrap metals
- Prepare and make bales for shipment
- Buy, sort and bale scrap metal materials
- Load and unload trailers
- Move and handle heavy materials such as car batteries and scrap metals
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
Job Requirements
- Able to perform physically demanding work for 8-hour shifts
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day
- Able to lift heavy materials regularly
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Previous warehouse, recycling, labour, or forklift experience is an asset but not required
Job Details
- Full-time, permanent position
- Schedule: 5 days per week
- Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Days off: Sunday + 1 additional weekday
