Are you passionate about food? Truffles Fine Foods is seeking an experienced Culinary Director to head up our kitchen team.
The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is self driven, is passionate about creating delicious food and has a proven track record in leadership roles. The role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to problem solve calmly and effectively. The Culinary Director plays a key role in our management team of food and beverage professionals and is responsible for menu and recipe development, food & labour costing, staff recruitment and training, and kitchen logistics. Must able run a extremely busy kitchen, responsible for quality control, food costs, recruitment, labor costs, and build culture.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a culinary training program or diploma
- Minimum 10 years experience in working in kitchens
- Minimum 5 years experience working in a catering environment
- Experience managing a culinary team.
- FoodSafe Level 1
- Proven leadership skills
- Flexible availability
- Experience with food costing/staffing/menu creation
- Experience working with Microsoft Word & Excel & Staffmate are a bonus
