Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to food safety and quality. $18/ HOUR +TIPS:) We are a fresh fruit company that operates 2 food trucks in downtown Toronto. This is a small company that's growing fast so lots of opportunity to grow and definitely a different experience than working for a big corporation. lots to learn! I will be either directly emailing or calling candidates who submit resumes and I'm interested in bringing on.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Serve food and beverages to customers with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and food preparation stations.
- Handle food items safely, following all guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, providing exceptional customer service.
- Support bartending duties as needed, including mixing drinks and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Participate in training sessions related to hospitality, food preparation, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Food Handler certification level 1
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented environment.
- Drive and operate food truck is preferred but not required.
