Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort

- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities diligently
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques using proper body mechanics and equipment when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Follow care plans meticulously, reporting any changes in health or behavior to supervisors or healthcare professionals
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments with a focus on senior care or hospice care
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to handle individuals with disabilities or dementia with patience and empathy
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or transferring clients
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain a tidy living space that supports health and safety standards
- Experience working with diverse populations including those requiring specialized dementia or hospice care
