Reporting to the Controller the successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments for casino and racetrack operations. This role ensures financial transactions are recorded accurately, payment deadlines are met, and company policies and internal controls are followed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in a dynamic environment. Being a dynamic individual with the ability to use initiative to solve problems and implement solutions while in a fast-paced work environment will be the key to your success. Along with your daily duties, you will be assisting with special accounting projects as required.
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in accounting or related experience
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
- Solid computer skills in Excel, and MS Office, experience with Yardi considered an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure while meeting daily/weekly/monthly deadlines
- Strong time management skills with a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people and providing timely updates to the team
- Have a “can do” attitude possessing the drive, determination and commitment to producing results
