What You'll Do:
- Perform installation, fault finding, Verification and Inspection of fire alarm systems, along with other fire protection equipment
- Perform inspections and service on all makes and models of fire alarm equipment
- Complete and return inspection reports in a timely manner
- Provide technical support to customers as needed
- Provide operational training to end-users
- Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals
- Potential to work overtime hours and out of town work
What You'll Need:
- Technicians must have 4+ years of experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Alarm industry
- Safety tickets such as Fall arrest, Confined space, lift training, first aid, etc. will be an asset
- Electronics diploma or equivalent from accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification (Journeyman including P-Ticket)
- Technicians who have a (CFAA) have Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification are an asset
- Ability to clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge about card access systems and intercom systems is an asset
- Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 45lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
- Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license (Class 5 licence)
- Competency in basic computer skills is required
