We're seeking a skilled 310S Technician to join our well-rounded automotive service shop in Thunder Bay, ON. You'll work on a diverse range of vehicles including customer vehicles, trailers, commercial safety inspections, and fleet maintenance (pickups up to 3500 series). A key aspect of this role includes maintenance contracts for specialized vehicles with complex systems, including electronic equipment and power load systems. You'll be part of a small, collaborative team where you're trusted to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements:
- Journeyman 310S certification (third or fourth year apprentices considered)
- Valid driver's license and own tools
- Ability to write safety inspections
- Well-rounded mechanical skills including:
- Chassis, brakes, and suspension work
- Engine diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting
- Complex tasks (engine/transmission swaps)
- Multi-step diagnostic and repair capabilities
- Low comeback rate and commitment to quality workmanship
- Nice-to-have: Experience with specialized fleet vehicles
Compensation & Benefits:
- Wage: $35–$45/hour Not Flat Rate (based on experience)

- Other: Coverall service provided tool/boot allowances available on an ad-hoc basis
Hours:
- Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
- Overtime paid after 44 hours/week (rarely required)
- 14,000 sq ft shop with 5 hoists (including 20,000-lb heavy-duty lifts)
