Position Summary
The Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred therapeutic massage services that support recovery, injury prevention, and physical performance. Working as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team, this role contributes directly to positive patient outcomes and an exceptional clinic experience through evidence‑based practice, collaboration, and clinical professionalism. Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Care & Patient Experience
Deliver patient‑centered massage therapy aligned with Group23’s purpose, mission, and brand promise.
Apply a comprehensive bio‑psycho‑social‑spiritual approach to care (#RiseAbove)
Assess patient conditions and develop individualized treatment approaches.
Deliver therapeutic, deep tissue, and sports massage treatments aligned with patient goals.
Provide education on stretching, self‑care, and injury prevention strategies within scope of practice.
Document patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
Contribute to a consistent and exceptional Patient Health Journey across clinic locations.
Compliance & Clinical Standards
Follow standardized clinic workflows, assessment processes, and treatment planning standards.
Adhere to privacy, Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC), and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies.
Ensure timely, accurate, and confidential patient charting using the clinic EMR.
Maintain clean, organized, safe, and professional treatment environments.
Respond promptly to administrative staff and clinic leadership.
Identify patient care, workflow, or safety concerns and escalate appropriately.
Team Alignment
Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with patients and team members.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, athletic therapists, physicians, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Documentation & Reporting
Track and document patient progress within the electronic health record.
Ensure documentation meets professional, legal, and clinic standards.
Use clinical data and feedback to support informed care decisions.

Maintain professional registration, ethical standards, and clinical competence.
Complete annual education, licensing, and regulatory requirements
Stay current with best practices and techniques in massage therapy and sports medicine.
Contribute to process improvements and overall clinic performance.

Knowledge

Qualifications
Diploma or Certificate in Massage Therapy from an accredited institution
Registered and in good standing as a Registered Massage Therapist in Alberta
Minimum of 3 years of massage therapy experience.
Clinical experience in massage therapy preferred; experience in sports medicine or rehabilitation settings is an asset
Training in sports massage, deep tissue, or rehabilitative techniques is preferred
CPR certification is an asset
Police Information Check required upon hire and as requested
