Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to regulations, and the ability to handle heavy equipment and freight efficiently. The AZ Truck Driver plays a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle operation and cargo handling.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ licensed commercial trucks for local or long-distance freight delivery
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed ( not required)
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on trucks and equipment
- Comply with all transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked
- Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues when necessary ( not required but is a plus )
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries
Requirements
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields
- Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus ( not required )
- Ability to operate automotive repair tools and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting ( not required)
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
