Reporting to the Manager, you will be part of the Mine Department. You will be responsible for overseeing all underground mining activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role involves managing daily production, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will play a critical role in achieving the mine's production targets and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will have the authority to set objectives and guidelines, establish budgets and schedules, delegate tasks among staff, and develop strategies to optimize operations and meet project requirements. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Lead and manage the underground mining team, including Shift Supervisors, operators, and support staff;
Oversee daily underground operations to meet production targets, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling activities;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Compensation Statement
No pay range is disclosed, as the compensation range exceeds $200,000.00.
