We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bakery Manager to lead our bakery operations with excellence. The ideal candidate will oversee daily store functions, manage staff, ensure product quality, and drive sales growth. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for bakery products. The Bakery Manager will play a key role in maintaining high customer satisfaction and achieving business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily bakery operations, ensuring efficient workflow and product quality standards.
- Lead, train, and develop bakery staff to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Manage inventory purchasing, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales and minimize waste.
- Oversee store merchandising, ensuring attractive displays that enhance customer experience.
- Handle customer service inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain excellent phone etiquette.
- Conduct sales management activities including monitoring sales targets and implementing marketing initiatives.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, interview candidates, and participate in team hiring processes.
- Develop and implement training & development programs for staff to improve performance.
- Manage budgeting processes, monitor expenses, and ensure store profitability.
- Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and maintain a clean store environment.
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or retail management experience within a bakery or food retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising, inventory control, and administrative tasks.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
- Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Experience in sales management, marketing strategies, pricing policies, and store management practices.
- Knowledge of recruiting processes including interviewing techniques and team development strategies.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of customer service.
