The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of commercial window projects from contract award through final installation and close-out. This role acts as the central point of accountability between internal teams—including fabrication, installation, drafting, estimating, and operations—and external stakeholders such as general contractors, consultants, and suppliers.The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Coordination
- Manage multiple commercial window projects simultaneously from hand-off through completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing fabrication, delivery, and installation activities.
- Coordinate project start-ups, production meetings, and installation readiness reviews.
- Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies early; proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Estimators during project hand-off to confirm scope, assumptions, and pricing details.
- Draftspersons to ensure shop drawings, approvals, and revisions align with project timelines.
- Fabrication / Production teams to plan manufacturing schedules, material availability, and production priorities.
- Installation crews and site supervisors to coordinate site readiness, manpower planning, and installation sequencing.
- Operations Supervisor to align resources, resolve bottlenecks, and escalate issues as required.
Client & Site Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for general contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and inspections as required.
- Manage RFIs, change orders, and scope clarifications in coordination with internal teams.
- Ensure site conditions, access, and readiness support efficient installation.
Financial & Contract Management
- Track project budgets, labour hours, material costs, and change orders.
- Identify cost risks and margin impacts and work with operations to address variances.
- Review progress billings and support timely invoicing and collections.
- Ensure contractual obligations, milestones, and deliverables are met.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure fabrication and installation meet approved shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Support compliance with health and safety requirements on job sites and within production.
- Address deficiencies, deficiencies lists, and close-out requirements promptly.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and status updates.
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal leadership and clients.
- Support project close-out, including warranties, as-built drawings, and final documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of project management experience in construction, glazing, fenestration, or related building envelope trades.
- Proven experience managing projects involving fabrication and site installation.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Proficiency with project scheduling and management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, construction PM software).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to attend job sites as required.

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
