Receiving Coordinator l twelvefifty (Kamloops, BC)

twelvefifty is a restaurant and event venue in Kamloops, BC, serving both our dining room and our banquet and conference operations. We're looking for an organized, detail-driven Receiving Coordinator to keep our kitchens stocked, our products fresh, and our storage areas running smoothly.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Banquet and Restaurant Chef, you'll be responsible for placing and receiving orders from multiple vendors across both the banquet and restaurant departments. This includes food items, kitchen supplies, cleaning products, and chemical supplies. You'll also post and approve invoices, monitor inventory levels, and help keep both kitchens operating at their best.
What You'll Do
- Write orders with inventory levels and business volumes in mind, holding the right amount of product and keeping everything at maximum freshness
- Monitor products on hand and flag items to Sous Chefs, the Chef, and the Prep Lead when they need to be used to avoid waste
- Confirm correct products are delivered and quality check every item received; report any issues to the Chef and work toward a resolution such as credits or returns
- Put orders away in the correct locations in an organized manner, keeping coolers, freezers, dry storage, and storage areas clean and compliant with Food Safe regulations
- Drive to local stores as needed to pick up local products
- Pitch in on prep, inventory, and other tasks as directed by the Sous Chefs and Chef
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and support other areas when needed
What We're Looking For
- 1 year of general kitchen experience
- General math knowledge
- General computer knowledge
- Strong time management and excellent communication skills
- Self motivated, organized, and efficient, with the ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfort with costing and price comparisons
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry 25 pounds, and stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Comfortable with regular pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving of equipment
- Most work is performed indoors in moderate, climate-controlled conditions; however, you must be able to work in extreme temperatures including freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F)

- Full-time, year-round position
- Days, evenings, and weekends
- Must be available to work holidays when needed
