Salary:
$37.86 to $56.79 per hour ($68,904.16 to $103,356.23 per annum)

MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Completed undergraduate degree in a related field, such as adult education, human resources, management, or organizational behaviour required.
- Certification in any of Change Management (eg. Prosci), Project Management eg. (Prince2), Training & Development (eg. CAE or PDAL), or Human Resources would be an asset.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least three years experience in instructional design and training delivery, with a focus on adult learning principles.
- Experience creating E-learns.
- Demonstrated experience in change or project management including supporting the end user experience.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Outstanding facilitation and presentation skills.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
Instructional Design & development of training (in-person, synchronous online, and E-learning):
- Design user-centric learning journeys that prioritize ease of navigation, accessibility, and visual engagement.
- Build complex, branched, and highly interactive e-learning modules using the Articulate 360 suite, ensuring seamless integration with our LMS (Brightspace / D2L).
- Leverage AI-enhanced tools to streamline asset creation, such as voiceovers, and image generation.
- Apply adult learning methodologies when designing learning workshops or modules and when delivering face-to-face training or synchronous online delivery.
- Support continuous improvement to enhance existing programs.
- Research best practices and industry trends with respect to content and delivery methods.
- Apply principles of project management throughout the training and development lifecycle (needs assessment, design, development, delivery, and maintenance).
- Maintain accurate records of project status and completion data.
Training and Engagement Facilitation:
- Facilitate engagement activities such as Communities of Practice, Lunch & Learns, meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Deliver training workshops (face-to-face or synchronous online).
- Apply adult learning methodologies when delivering face-to-face training or synchronous online delivery.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify organizational needs and/or changes.
- Apply coaching methodologies to project sponsors, participants, people-leaders and others to support change adoption.
- Consult with senior leadership and unit leads to assess change and development needs.
- Assess the needs of the participants before, during and after learning or engagement events.
- Provide advice, consulting, and coaching, to project sponsors and teams.
Unit or Human Resources activities:
- Actively contributes to unit initiatives by sharing subject-matter expertise and providing hands-on support to colleagues’ projects, as requested.
- Provides change support to HR projects to influence a positive change adoption, improve processes, and effectively manage projects.
- Leads and contributes to unit initiatives by planning, coordinating, and delivering projects, while engaging colleagues and applying subject matter expertise to achieve shared outcomes.
Other duties – as assigned:
- Performs additional duties to support unit operations, including providing back-up coverage on projects, assisting colleagues as needed on projects, and providing assistance to the Associate Director on special projects or initiatives.
