Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Volunteer General Manager for Robokido GTA, a dynamic kids coding and robotics education initiative. This leadership role involves overseeing program operations, driving business development efforts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational experiences. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, leadership qualities, and a proactive approach to process improvement, all while inspiring a team dedicated to empowering young minds.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of Robokido GTA programs, ensuring smooth daily operations and high engagement levels
- Develop and implement strategies to expand program reach through sales initiatives and community outreach
- Manage relationships with schools, community centers, and partners to foster collaboration and growth
- Supervise staff and volunteers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure excellence in program delivery
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet educational goals effectively
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and program quality
- Monitor program metrics and feedback to continuously refine curriculum offerings and customer experience
- Oversee the cross-functional team planning, performance, and report to manage for operational effectiveness such as cost-saving, high quality, within scope, reliable, scalable, continuously improved, and timely fashion ongoing deliverables
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operation management, business management, business development, CEO, business directorship, or related fields; preferably with a focus on education or youth programs or community program.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with supervising experience in team environments
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, partners, and team members
- Ability to drive process improvements that streamline operations and elevate program standards
- Passion for STEM education and empowering children through technology-based learning
Time Commitment
- Recommended 6–10 hours/week
- Flexible schedule
- Hybrid (remote + occasional in-person events)
