CNC CAM Programmer / CNC Machine Operator
MC3 Manufacturing Inc. – Leamington, ON – Pay based on experience
The role
No two jobs here are the same. We build custom conveyors and fabricated equipment, which means the parts you’re programming and machining today are probably different from the ones you were running last week. That’s not a warning – for the right person, it’s exactly what makes this job worth showing up to.
We’re looking for a CNC programmer who knows their way around Mazak Power Mills and CNC Lathes as well as Awea CNC Mills and Bridge Mills – someone who can write a program in Lemoine, get it running, and produce a part that meets spec without a lot of handholding. Someone comfortable going straight to the controller when the job calls for it, and who treats the machine like a tool they’re responsible for, not just one they operate.
This is skilled work. The person who does it well knows it – and brings that standard to every part they run.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take jobs from drawing to the finished part. That means writing programs in Lemoine, setting up and running the machines, checking your own work, and adjusting when something’s not right. You’ll work across a range of materials and tolerances, read blueprints and engineering specs directly, and keep the machines in good shape. When a one-off custom part needs to be right the first time, you’re the person making that happen.
Day to day
- Write and refine CNC programs using Lemoine CAM software
- Set up, run, and troubleshoot Mazak Power Mills and CNC Lathes
- Program directly on the machine controller when the job calls for it
- Machine parts to spec across a variety of materials and tolerances
- Read and work directly from technical drawings and engineering specs
- Monitor machine performance and adjust hold accuracy
- Inspect your own work and make sure parts meet customer standards
- Handle routine maintenance and flag issues before they become problems
- Keep your machines and work area clean, organized, and safe
What you bring
You’ve done this long enough to trust your instincts. You know when a program needs another pass before you run it, and you know how to listen to a machine. Custom and short-run work doesn’t throw you – it’s where you do your best work.
- CNC programming experience
- Hands-on experience with Mazak Power Mills and CNC Lathes
- Proficient with Lemoine or comparable CAM software
- Comfortable programming directly on the machine controller
- Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Sharp attention to detail – you hold yourself to a high standard
- Able to work independently and make good calls without constant oversight
- Reliable, organized, and easy to work with
Nice to have
- Experience with other CNC platforms or machine types
- Background in custom fab, job shop, or prototype work
