About Velvet Moo
Velvet Moo is a premium milk bar and café in Downtown Oakville where milk is the hero. We serve specialty coffee, signature wellness drinks, and handcrafted desserts made with A2 Jersey milk. We’re family-run, warm, and quality-obsessed.
We’re hiring a Front of House / Guest Experience Associate who loves people, moves fast with calm energy, and cares about the small details that make guests feel genuinely looked after.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests and create a warm, premium first impression
- Take orders, answer questions, and guide guests through the menu
- Share our story (A2 Jersey milk, what makes us different) in a simple, friendly way
- Run food and drinks, clear tables, reset the space, and keep the café spotless
- Support the team during busy rushes (weekends, evenings)
- Handle POS payments accurately (cash/card)
- Help with packaging takeout orders and maintaining display areas
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves
- Friendly, confident communication (you enjoy talking to people)
- Reliable and punctual (we value stability and loyalty)
- Comfortable standing/walking for long periods
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
- Available at least 2–3 shifts/week
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in cafés, restaurants, retail, or customer service
- High school students welcome (great for after-school + weekend shifts)
- Languages are a plus (Arabic, French, Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, etc.)
- Food Handler certificate (or willing to get it)
Our Hiring Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for:
1) a quick interview, and
2) a paid trial shift (2–3 hours) to make sure it’s a great fit for both sides.
Pay: $17.20-$25.13 per hour
