Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the General Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational performance, profitability, compliance, and people development at assigned Tim Hortons restaurant locations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role provides leadership, coaching, and support to restaurant leaders to ensure all restaurants consistently meet and exceed brand standards, operational goals, and guest satisfaction expectations.
The General Manager works closely with restaurant leadership teams to drive operational excellence, improve financial performance, develop strong teams, and maintain audit readiness across assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of one or more Tim Hortons restaurant locations.

Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Restaurant Managers.

Ensure restaurants consistently meet Tim Hortons operational, food safety, and brand standards.

Monitor and improve key performance indicators including sales, labour, food cost, paper cost, guest satisfaction, speed of service, and operational compliance.

Analyze restaurant financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Conduct regular visits to assigned restaurant locations, including hands-on operational coaching and support.

Lead and support REV audits, operational reviews, and action planning.

Ensure restaurants maintain audit readiness and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Support hiring, onboarding, retention, and development of management and restaurant team members at assigned locations.

Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and accountability to restaurant leadership teams.

Address operational issues, guest concerns, and team challenges in a timely and professional manner.

Partner with the Director of Operations and Senior Leadership Team on operational initiatives, business planning, and performance improvement strategies.

Foster a positive, accountable, and guest-focused culture across assigned restaurant locations.

Support implementation of company programs, promotions, and operational initiatives.
Qualifications

Postsecondary education in Business, Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant restaurant operations experience may be considered.

Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience, including multi-unit, leadership experience.

Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

Solid understanding of restaurant operations, labour management, and financial performance.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with operational audits, compliance standards, and performance management.

Flexible schedule and ability to travel between restaurant locations as required.

Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds

You must have a valid drivers license and your own vehicle
